Pitt Friends Project

During my time at ECU, one of the classes that I had to take was Business 2200. During this class, we had a project where we had to pick an organization and then help them raise money and spread awareness. This project consisted of six group members including me and we all had tasks that we had to complete. The tasks that I was instructed to help with during this project was to help organize and set up the fundraiser event for the Pitt Friends. Pitt Friends is an organization that fosters dogs that do not have homes and try to find them a forever home in Greenville. During this experience, I was able to develop my communication, organizing/planning, teamwork skills. I was not only always having to inform my group members of what was going on, but I was also communicating to plan the event with the organization. Furthermore, my organizing/planning abilities were enhanced because I was able to realize how difficult organizing/planning actually is. I was able to work around the obstacles I faced and ensured that the event ran smoothly and efficiently. Lastly my teamwork skills were one thing that I have never had a problem with but in this situation like other situations I was put in a group of people that had very different personalities than what I was custom too. Therefore, it was important for me to learn how to work well within teams when having numerous personalities. These three abilities were just some of the abilities that I was able to better develop during this project. Below are pictures that were taken at the event, and also the final PowerPoint that was constructed by myself and my group members is listed below as P.
