Ryan Mankin

My name is Ryan Mankin and I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but I have resided in North Carolina for most of my life. During that time, I have played football and  I have learned how to better lead a group of teammates through this. Currently, I attend East Carolina University where I am majoring in business management, and I plan on graduating fall of 2019. Although I am graduating from East Carolina University, ECU was not the first university that I attended as I went to Christopher Newport University my freshman year. During the time at Christopher Newport, I was able to become more disciplined, developed better leadership, and worked better with teammates. I say this because during this time I was playing college football, and I learned numerous valuable lessons through this opportunity. My prior experiences through playing sports and even my work experiences will better prepare me for my future career. Furthermore, over the past years, I have gained knowledge on what it will take to be a business professional, and I know that with my experience I can add value to an organization. This website will demonstrate my skills, experience, and work throughout my academic career that will show why I would be prepared for a large responsibility job. I have two career aspirations, and they are to either become a business owner or a top business sales person. They both are very different in a sense but they both involve selling a product or service to someone, and that is something that I have loved all of my life. No matter which career I choose to go with after college I know that I have the capabilities to excel in either career field.
